Who Owns Your Road Sign the petition

Email your state rep and senator.

A note from a voter in their own district is the thing legislators actually read. The letter is written. You look up who represents you, add your name, and send it from your own email.

  1. Find your two legislators

Every Texan has one state representative and one state senator. The state's lookup takes your address and gives you their names and contact links. It opens in a new tab.

    Open Who Represents Me

Their emails usually follow a pattern: firstname.lastname@house.texas.gov for representatives, firstname.lastname@senate.texas.gov for senators. Each member's page has a contact link if that doesn't work.

  2. Add your name

  3. Send it

Change anything you like. A line about your own commute makes it land harder.

If nothing opens, your browser isn't linked to an email app. Copy the letter and paste it into Gmail, Outlook or whatever you use.
